Beach!

Last weekend we took the minivan and a half-day on Friday and headed for the coast. We rented a little beach cottage where we holed up with cheese and salami and peanut m&m's.

It was supposed to rain the whole weekend but miraculously we got a mostly clear day on Saturday, so we spent the day exploring the beach and checking out the small town sandcastle contest.

It was awesome.

It's a marshmellow world in Seattle

We have so much snow it really is unbelievable... the most I can remember in the eleven years that I've lived here. It's beeeeeautiful!

Bella LOVES the snow.  She rips around like a crazy dog... leaping and bounding with her ears flapping behind her and snow flying.  Then she starts eating it.

CJ loves the snow too.

It's a winter wonderland!

Finally! A sunny day.

We spent a lovely afternoon at Carkeek Park soaking in the sun and reveling in the non-raininess. If only it would STAY this way!

Crazy weather

If you're reading this in email or an RSS feed, you'll have to click here to view the video.

This weekend we've had snow, hail, more hail, even bigger hail, snow, and rain.

Crazy weather, to be precise.

Enough with the funny business. We're ready for spring!

Well, all except for CJ, who delights in going out in the freezing cold in his underwear to gather hail in a little plastic cup, and then eating it with smacking lips because it "tastes like icecream!"

Snow day in Seattle

Today it snowed. CJ was out of his mind with excitement. We walked to the nearby elementary school to get our tree, played in the snow, and decorated. It was a VERY fun day!

A bad day for not having gutters...

We've had a big storm making its presence felt here with hail, high-speed winds, and a whole lot of rain. All without gutters on the house.

Ack!

CJ refers to the hail as "hay", which makes for hours of amusement!
